The following is a preliminary version of a homology and transitional
proprosal developed by Aton Reiner and Andreas Csillag as a result of
discussions with the ThinkTank group.
For the palliam, it is proposed to replace the suffix "striatum" with
the suffix "pallium", and to change the meaning of the prefixes, but keeping
the resultant abbreviations the same. The subpallium and midbrain structures
are changed to those of mammals. (updated 1/2/2001)
